McChrystal sees slower pace for Kandahar operation

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - A long-awaited military campaign in the Taliban's birthplace Kandahar, due to begin in earnest this month, will now unfold more slowly than planned, the top U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan said on Thursday.
