BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iranian troops have withdrawn partially from a disputed oil well claimed by both Tehran and Baghdad, an Iraqi spokesman said on Sunday, possibly defusing a border feud straining the two countries' delicate ties. Government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said a small group of Iranian troops who had taken over an oil well in a remote region along the Iran-Iraq border last week were no longer in control of the well, which Iraq considers part of its Fakka oilfield. div class="feedflare" a href="http://feeds.reuters.com/~ff/reuters/worldNews?a=iiNxE1U_C08:OuiA17837Gw:yIl2AUoC8zA" img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/reuters/worldNews?d=yIl2AUoC8zA" border="0" /img /a a href="http://feeds.reuters.com/~ff/reuters/worldNews?a=iiNxE1U_C08:OuiA17837Gw:F7zBnMyn0Lo" img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/reuters/worldNews?i=iiNxE1U_C08:OuiA17837Gw:F7zBnMyn0Lo" border="0" /img /a a href="http://feeds.reuters.com/~ff/reuters/worldNews?a=iiNxE1U_C08:OuiA17837Gw:V_sGLiPBpWU" img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/reuters/worldNews?i=iiNxE1U_C08:OuiA17837Gw:V_sGLiPBpWU" border="0" /img /a /div img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/reuters/worldNews/~4/iiNxE1U_C08" height="1" width="1"/ [ VIEW FULL COVERAGE @Reuters: World News ] |
