Two sources have confirmed to NFLDraftScout.com that the Detroit Lions, which have the No. 1 overall pick in April 25 draft, have entered into preliminary negotiations with Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford, Baylor offensive tackle Jason Smith and Wake Forest linebacker Aaron Curry, Rob Rang says .
