Britain, U.S. urge ceasefire in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (Reuters) - The United States and Britain urged a ceasefire in Sri Lanka to evacuate casualties and allow relief into the war zone as the island state celebrated independence from colonial ruler Britain on Wednesday.
