Rescuers fail to reach 18 trapped miners in China

BEIJING (Reuters) - More than a day after 18 miners were trapped by a coal mine blast, rescuers still could not enter the mine in central China's Hunan Province because of high levels of gas, Xinhua quoted officials as saying late on Thursday.
