Months after signing with the team, Fernandez was greeted by cheering fans Monday when he landed at Portland International Airport after resting in Spain following his team's silver-medal finish in Beijing. Blazers management treated his arrival with excitement and reverence similar to that given 2007 No. 1 draft pick Greg Oden.
