Celtics' Theo Ratliff Having Season Ending Surgery

In the BOSTON HERALD, Mark Murphy writes, "The difference this time is that Ratliff, who has avoided surgery to repair the herniated disc in his back, finally decided after a meeting with the Celtics medical staff that surgery is indeed the answer. Not that the team was counting on him, but with Ratliff expecting to undergo the procedure at some point in the next two weeks, and with the recovery period estimated at another six weeks, he's probably done for the year."
