Changes take FedEx Cup the other way ... way too unstable

When they tweaked the format for the PGA Tour's version of the playoffs, the FedEx Cup, the idea was to make them more, um, interesting. Steve Elling says they got what they wanted -- and marginalized the rest of the season in the process.
