Magic's Dwight Howard Says Fracture is Healed

In the ORLANDO SENTINEL, Brian Schmitz reports "Magic all-star center Dwight Howard said today that he has fully recovered from a fractured sternum sustained in the playoffs and has been cleared to practice for Team USA July 21-25 in Las Vegas. Howard had to sit out the first minicamp in preparation for the Olympics as a precaution. ‘I've been cleared to play,' Howard said. ‘It bothered me a lot. I tried to play as much as I could through the pain in the playoffs. I didn't know what it was until after the playoffs.' Howard was involved in a collision during the second-round series against the Detroit Pistons. Howard said he was ready to help the U.S. recapture the gold medal next month and fulfill a childhood dream."
