Chandler to Train With U.S. Team

In the NEW ORLEANS TIMES-PICAYUNE, Jeff Duncan reports "Hornets center Tyson Chandler has accepted an invitation to train with the U.S. men's Olympic basketball team and will join it for training camp next week in Las Vegas, USA Basketball officials announced Tuesday. It is unclear if Chandler will accompany the team to Beijing for the Olympic Games on Aug. 8-24. Among six alternates selected for the team, Chandler is the only one invited to camp. His addition gives the team insurance in case starting center Dwight Howard does not recover fully from a chest injury that sidelined the Orlando Magic star for the team's one-day minicamp last month."
