In the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, Kate Fagan writes "on Wednesday, the 76ers signed Brand and completed, arguably, the boldest and most unexpected move of this NBA off-season. Yesterday, attention shifted to how the addition of Brand, a two-time all-star power forward, will affect the team. Cheeks is in Las Vegas for the NBA Summer League. He spoke about Wednesday's blockbuster deal: ‘What can I say? [Elton] is a great player and an even better person.' Cheeks said the team needed a power forward. ‘Could we have gotten a better guy?' he asked rhetorically."
