Parity Finally Catches Up to WNBA Teams

In the INDIANAPOLIS STAR, Kristen Leigh Porter writes "need proof of the parity among the WNBA's 14 teams? The four top teams in the league have each lost six games. That includes the star-studded Los Angeles Sparks squad picked to win the title in a preseason poll of WNBA general managers, along wi th Connecticut, Detroit and San Antonio. One team has seven losses, and the Indiana Fever (9-8) are among two with eight. Now that's balance. ‘That's something I realized early on, that this was going to be the strongest -- from top to bottom -- league that we've ever had,' Fever coach Lin Dunn said. ‘(With) the infusion from this draft and the last couple of drafts, these players have gotten better. I think it's really good for the league.'"
