In the TORONTO STAR, Doug Smith writes "the prizes are diverse and so are the teams chasing them as the NBA conducts its annual draft lottery tonight. From 15-win Miami to 48-win Golden State, the 14 non-playoff teams will be watching the events unfold at the league's television studio to determine the order of selection for the June 26 draft. At stake is the chance to draft one of two college freshmen who seem to have separated themselves from the rest of the pack in the two-round draft. University of Memphis point guard Derrick Rose and Kansas State forward Michael Beasley are the consensus top two selections in a draft that many NBA experts consider deeper in varied talent than it has been in a couple of seasons."
