This is my sabbatical year. I am in a unique position to learn from other basketball coaches as they work with their teams. I have observed NBA and college practices (as many coaches in my position do) but I wanted to take it a step further. With that in mind, I recently took a 19-day trip to Moscow (Russia), Athens (Greece) and Istanbul (Turkey) to observe three of the most respected coaches in Europe.
