In the NEW YORK TIMES, John Eligon writes "Carter, who led the Nets with 18 points, and the rookie point guard Marcus Williams probably felt Kidd's absence the most. Williams made the first start of his N.B.A. career and, although he had a career-high 10 assists, he scored only 9 points and shot 4 of 14 from the field."
