In THE TIMES-PICAYUNE, Peter Finney writes "happy 75th Birthday, Bob Pettit, the story said. Which is today. NBA TV, we were told, would be saluting the history of professional basketball during "Heritage Week," giving fans a chance to relive memorable moments of teams and players who helped shape the game. That would include Bob Pettit, who went from being an All-America at LSU to an 11-year career with the St. Louis Hawks, highlighted by two MVP awards, and two scoring championships, in 1956 and 1959, and a championship ring in 1958.”
