In THE OREGONIAN, Mike Tokito writes “Brandon Roy could see what a big deal it was to be in the Rookie Challenge. The Trail Blazers, after all, had not had any participant in the NBA's All-Star festivities since Rasheed Wallace played in the 2001 All-Star Game. The rookie-sophomore game drew a great deal of interest in Portland. A Portland radio station broadcast the game, a TV station was in Las Vegas to chronicle it, and the Blazers franchise was represented in full force.”
