Clippers' Thornton Sprains Ankle; Cassell Remains Out

2007/12/05 16:21:21 @NBA.com: News

In the LOS ANGELES DAILY NEWS, Joe Stevens writes "Al Thornton did not play at all in the second half, despite a fabulous second quarter from the rookie. Thornton re-sprained his right ankle with 1:22 left in the second quarter. The sprain came at an awful time for Thornton and the Clippers. It came at the end of Thornton's best quarter as a pro. He scored 10 points to help the Clippers recover from an 18-point deficit and lead at halftime. Sam Cassell missed a second straight game with a strained left calf. There is no timetable for Cassell's return, but he likely will be out for a few more games.”
