In the ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION, Sekou Smith writes "the Hawks inched a step closer to .500 for the season with a much-needed 117-109 victory over Charlotte on Wednesday night at Philips Arena. But it came with a high price tag. The Hawks (3-4) lost two starters during a three-minute stretch of the third quarter in which saw forward Josh Smith left for the locker room with a strained left quadriceps with 9:02 to play. Rookie guard Acie Law IV followed two minutes later with a sprained left ankle."
