Barnes is Struggling to Get Playing Time

In the MERCURY NEWS, Geoff Lepper writes, "Barnes emerged last season as a critical piece for Golden State before its mid-January trade, and he forced his way back into a key role during the Warriors' late-season surge to the playoffs. Combining Barnes' numbers from December, January and April, he averaged 12.9 points in 30.4 minutes per game. Heading into Saturday's game against the Utah Jazz at the EnergySolutions Arena, Barnes had received 26 minutes total over two games. 'We're missing J-Rich from last year, we're missing Jack and we're missing me," Barnes said Saturday. "I can't help the team sitting on the bench. I'm going to try to do what I can to help my team and get out there, figure out what I need to do to get on the court. ... I'm playing 10 minutes a game. I didn't think that was going to happen.'"
