In the MIAMI HERALD, Michael Wallace writes "the two probably couldn't have come from more divergent paths. Hardaway, 36, simply had hoped his once-chronically aching knees would prove sturdy enough after a two-year layoff to withstand perhaps one last shot to reclaim some NBA glory. Barring any late roster moves, the former NBA superstar attempting a comeback will share a place with the overachieving, shot-blocking long shot on the opening night roster."
