Hornets Exercise Option On Paul

In THE TIMES-PICAYUNE, John Reid writes "the Hornets exercised the fourth-year option on point guard Chris Paul's current three-year contract and center Hilton Armstrong received a third-year option on Sunday. Hornets General Manager Jeff Bower had until Wednesday to make those contract decisions. If he had not done so, both players could have entered free agency this summer. After this season, the Hornets can begin negotiations to extend Paul a maximum money contract that could keep him with the Hornets for an additional five years."
