NBA Hall of Famer and Lansing, Michigan native Earvin (Magic) Johnson Jr. and two others were named recipients of this year's Freedom Awards from the National Civil Rights Museum, according to the museum's Web site. The museum's Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to Johnson for his philanthropic and business enterprise in urban communities, the Web site said.
