Nets Unlikely to Bring Houston Into Camp

In the NY DAILY NEWS, Julian Garcia writes, "With Nenad Krstic on the mend and Jason Kidd and Marcus Williams injured, the Nets need players. They just don't need Allan Houston. That's why the Nets are unlikely to bring Houston into camp now that he has ended his comeback attempt with the Knicks, so urces said yesterday. The Nets were one of the teams that invited Houston to try out for them before training camp started on Oct. 2, but after Williams broke his foot, the Nets had to fill a need at backup point guard, which they did by signing veteran Darrell Armstrong. They then withdrew their offer to Houston."
