In MIAMI HERALD, Michael Wallace writes, "With less than two weeks left before the Nov. 1 season opener, Heat coach Pat Riley had hoped his team would be at a different stage in its development. But instead of using its final exhibition games as tune-ups, the Heat remains in tryout mode. 'I'm still trying to find something I can go with... You tune up when you've got all your pistons and sparkplugs in there. We don't.'"
