In the SEATTLE TIMES, Percy Allen writes "Kevin Durant admitted he was too passive early on as he attempted to ease himself into the flow of the game and later on he tried too hard. Considering he had to defend Sacramento's Kevin Martin and was hounded by Artest for 30 minutes, Durant gave himself a passing grade for his debut. ‘That's a good welcome to the league,' he said. Before the game, Durant said he was surprised that he wasn't nervous before his NBA debut. ‘Before my first college game, I was so nervous, but not this time,' he said.”
