Critical Knee Surgery On Tap For Kings' Hawes

In the SACRAMENTO BEE, Sam Amick writes "the rookie season of Spencer Hawes might be in the balance today, as the Kings center and No. 10 pick in the June draft will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in Seattle. The Washington product missed the first week of training camp after injuring his knee during offseason conditioning drills Sept. 27. After two MRIs, he flew to his hometown of Seattle for a second opinion with Dr. Lawrence Holland, who will perform the procedure. Yet until the word comes from Holland that the surgery went well, the Kings might be holding their collective breath."
