KITSYOT, Israel (Reuters) - Israel began releasing 87 jailed Palestinians on Monday in a bid to shore up President Mahmoud Abbas against his Islamist Hamas rivals, and ahead of a U.S.-sponsored conference on Palestinian statehood.
