Bernanke Defends Caps on Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac

In a letter to a New York Congressman, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said the asset caps on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac should stay. Some lawmakers claim lifting the caps could help the subprime mortgage market.
