Former New York Knicks executive Hal Childs dies

DUBLIN, Calif. (AP) -- Hal Childs, a former assistant general manager for the New York Knicks and public relations director for the Golden State Warriors and Seattle Mariners, has died of complications from heart disease. He was 84.
