Iraq Kurds launch Sinjar offensive after coalition air strikes

ARBIL, Iraq (Reuters) - Kurdish forces launched an operation to retake the town of Sinjar in northwest Iraq on Wednesday after coalition planes pounded Islamic State positions overnight, Kurdish officials said.
