In the LOS ANGELES TIMES, Larry Stewart writes “judging by the NBA schedule announced Thursday, the league's national television partners are assuming Kobe Bryant isn't going anywhere. The Lakers will again make the maximum number of allowable appearances this season on ABC (five), ESPN (10) and TNT (nine). TNT spokesman Jeff Pomeroy confirmed that his network was banking on Bryant remaining a Laker.”
