Celtics Waive Goodbye to Guard Ray

The BOSTON HERALD reports, "The Celtics waived guard Allan Ray yesterday after he averaged 6.2 points in his first NBA season. Ray, an undrafted free agent out of Villanova, signed last July and played in 47 games for the C's, including five starts. He averaged 15.1 minutes, getting extra playing time because of injuries to guards Wally Szczerbiak and Tony Allen and swingman Paul Pierce."
