Swedish royals boycott Chuck Berry award ceremony

Members of Sweden & #039;s royal family boycotted a prestigious music prize ceremony to honour rock and roll legend Chuck Berry because of his 1961 conviction for transporting a minor, Queen Silvia said on Wednesday. She refused to attend because Berry in 1961 was sentenced to prison in America for the transportation of a 14-year-old girl across several US states while having sex with her. Queen Silvia is the founder of a charity to help children called World Childhood Foundation, where Princess Madeleine also works.
