In the SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER, Jon Naito writes “Kurt Thomas, acquired in a trade with Phoenix last week that also netted Seattle two future first-round draft picks, showed a veteran's awareness and savvy Thursday, aware that it wasn't the 4.6 points and 5.7 rebounds he averaged last season that made him so attractive to the Sonics. The latest addition to an ever-changing Sonics roster, Thomas, 34, spoke for about 10 minutes, genially fielding questions and replying with a slight hint of the twang native to his hometown of Dallas.”
