Tim Tucker of the ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION writes, "The committee, put together last year by downtown business group Atlanta Progress, has met with a number of possible team owners but has not yet recommended a specific candidate to the WNBA. The league would have to approve an owner and negotiate a purchase agreement before awarding a franchise."
