In the CHICAGO TRIBUNE, Fred Mitchell writes “Luol Deng considers himself one of the lucky ones. In his native Sudan, more than a million people a year die of malaria. On Monday, Deng made his first appearance as the national spokesman for the Nothing But Nets drive to end the plague of malaria in Africa. Steve Schanwald, executive vice president-business operations, presented a check for $10,000 on behalf of the Bulls to kick off the initiative.”
