On BLOOMBERG.com, Larry DiTore writes “Patrick Ewing was one of four assistants hired today by the Orlando Magic, joining the staff of Stan Van Gundy in his first year as coach of the National Basketball Association team. The 47-year-old Van Gundy is the brother of Jeff Van Gundy, who coached Ewing when he was with the New York Knicks from 1995-2000. The former center will be joined by Brendan Malone, Steve Clifford and Bob Beyer, the team said in a press release.”
