In the COURIER POST, Ryan Lawrence writes "a week ago, while his TV was tuned to the NBA draft, Sixers swingman Rodney Carney sent a text message to Thaddeus Young, a buddy of his from Memphis. It was likely a "good luck" message. But Carney's text turned out to be prophetic. Because less than two hours later, Carney's old pal heard from the Sixers again -- only this time it was to find out he was becoming a member of their team."
