In the LOS ANGELES DAILY NEWS, Rich Hammond writes “it seems as though the icy relationship between Kobe Bryant and the Lakers might be thawing in the summer heat. In his first public comments since he demanded a trade five weeks ago, Bryant on Thursday said he apologized to general manager Mitch Kupchak for his public, angry tirades. Asked if he still wanted to leave Los Angeles, Bryant gave an ambiguous answer that indicated he might be willing to stay.”
