John Reid of the NEW ORLEANS TIMES-PICAYUNE writes, "Chinese National team coach Jonas Kazlauskas is convinced there is no better way to develop his players than by having them compete in the Las Vegas Summer League. There are 22 NBA teams in the Summer League, and the Chinese team is the international team among the group. The Chinese team made its debut Friday night and came away with an 86-77 victory against the Memphis Grizzlies. Wang Zhizhi led all scorers with 27 points."
