Krista Jahnke of the DETROIT FREE PRESS writes, "In 2003, the Pistons bypassed superstar Dwyane Wade and took Darko Milicic with the No. 2 overall pick. Four years later -- thanks to a trade that sent Milicic to Orlando -- they drafted a player many call the poor man's Wade. The Pistons took Eastern Washington combo guard Rodney Stuckey with the No. 15 pick in Thursday's NBA draft. Stuckey accepted his handshake and Pistons cap from commissioner David Stern and became the second player from his school to be drafted in the NBA. The Pistons added UCLA shooting guard Arron Afflalo at No. 27. In the second round, No. 57 overall, the Pistons picked Sammy Mejia, a 6-foot-6 guard from DePaul."
