Sekou Smith of the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION writes, "For weeks Al Horford's nerves never bothered him. But in a five-minute span Thursday night in the Theatre at Madison Square Garden, he nearly sweated through his draft-night suit. NBA commissioner David Stern calmed all of Horford's fears when he announced that the Hawks had selected the former Florida star with the No. 3 pick in the draft. Eight picks later, they took Texas A&M guard Acie Law at No. 11."
