Ousted Thai PM formally charged for land deal

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thai state prosecutors formally charged ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra with "official misconduct" on Thursday relating to his wife's purchase of a prime piece of Bangkok real estate, a court official said.
