Mike Wells of the INDIANAPOLIS STAR writes, "Carlisle was given the title of executive vice president of basketball operations when he received a contract extension last fall. He had until Friday to decide if he wanted to remain with the team. Carlisle is expected to receive a buyout for less than the full value of the final year of his contract."
