U.S. launches first drone strike in Pakistan since election

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) - A U.S. drone strike killed seven people in Pakistan's North Waziristan region on Wednesday, security officials said, the first such attack since a May 11 general elections in which the use of the unmanned aircraft was a major issue.
