THE FACTS: The Los Angeles Lakers got back to square one Sunday night, a destination they never envisioned they'd be shooting for during the first week of March. They reached .500 (30-30) for the first time in 2013 on the back of Kobe Bryant, who scored 34 points -- the last two on a high-banking, heavily contested layup with nine seconds remaining. That basket stood up as the game winner in the 99-98 victory against the Atlanta Hawks at Staples Center.
