In the DENVER POST, Woody Paige writes “George Karl's anger was subsiding until he watched the NBA draft lottery. It was a bad moon rising. ‘I got (perturbed) all over again. It was very frustrating. The Western Conference was tough enough. Now look at it,' the Nuggets' coach said. The top two choices belong to the Portland Trail Blazers and the Seattle SuperSonics. Karl obviously would have preferred that the NBA announce to Greg Oden and Kevin Durant: ‘Go East, young men.' Karl already was trying to manage his lingering ‘anger,' he calls it, over the Nuggets' latest five-game defeat in the first round of the playoffs.”
