Marc J. Spears of the DENVER POST, "Because of the luck of the draw for two rivals, the Northwest Division got a lot tougher this past week for the Nuggets. The Northwest's Portland Trail Blazers and Seattle SuperSonics landed the top two picks in this year's draft. The first two picks are expected to be freshman sensations Greg Oden of Ohio State and Kevin Durant of Texas. Expect those two to be a pain for the Nuggets to deal with the next 10 years."
