Ohio junior guard D.J. Cooper told CBSSports.com that Tennessee and Baylor tried to get him to transfer after his freshman season. Recruiting a player before he is released from another program is against NCAA rules. Donell Cooper, D.J.'s father, said that former Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl "tried t he hardest" to get his son to leave Ohio.
